The relay Story

Ministry Happens when

needs are met

At Relay, we are working to close the gap of churches having no designated leadership. There are hundreds of churches within 100 miles of Bowling Green, Kentucky that need Godly thoughtful, capable, anointed worship leaders. Nationwide there are thousands and thousands in need.

A small team of local worship leaders has felt called to address this prayerfully and have taken steps to help the worship leaders in South Central Kentucky. They created a conference that brings the best local leaders in their craft.

MISSION + VISION

For those whose favorite way to love Jesus is through worship in community, who are frustrated by a lack of connection with God and other Christ-followers, and are looking for opportunities to make music, especially in anointed gatherings, we want to help you fight busyness and the comparison trap and provide opportunities for holy connection and spiritual growth. Jump in to a worship night, a conference, or the residency and find authentic connection.

In our hearts

What we believe

We are an organization that is beautifully diverse and multi-denominational. While each church and individual may vary widely in the particulars, we all find common ground in Jesus.

Our community respects one another's differences, allowing grace to fill the gaps, just as God does with each of us every day. We reject the cultural contention that unity requires sameness.

Statement of belief

We believe that Jesus is our living hope and that news of the Kingdom of God should be shared with the world. We affirm the Nicene Creed and are convinced of the authority of scripture. The multi-denominational nature of the Relay Worship Group requires us to be clear in our beliefs about our Triune God but leave space for a diversity of perspectives.

If you have questions about any specific doctrinal issues, please reach out to RodEEllis@relayworship.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is Relay Worship Group?

The Relay Worship Group is a multi-denominational, non-profit Christian ministry that exists to connect, encourage and equip our worshiping community.

  • What denomination are you affiliated with?

None...but also, several. Two of our main sponsoring churches are Baptist and Methodist, but we also have involvement from non-denominational churches, Church of Christ, Church of the Nazarene, and more. One of our core beliefs is in the unity of the Church, across all denominational lines. If you love Jesus as your Lord, we can work through anything else that might make us look or think differently.

  • Where are your nights of worship?

Our locations change each time! Watch our website and social media for the most up-to-date location. In the past, we've hosted at Woodburn Baptist Church and Christ Church in Bowling Green, LifePoint Church in Franklin, and Russellville United Methodist Temple in Russellville. Let's add your church to the list! If you would like to host a worship night, email us!

  • When is the next event?

The next Easter Night of Worship at SKyPAC will be on April 11 & 12, 2026.

  • Do I need to be part of a church choir or have a music minister to participate?

Not at all. Whether your church doesn’t have a choir, lacks a paid music minister, or you don’t attend a church at all—you’re still fully welcome to sing with the community choir.

  • When will rehearsals be? Do I have to be at all of them to sing with you?

Visit the Choir page for the rehearsal schedules! Of course it would be best to attend all rehearsals, but we understand everybody has a life outside of choir. You'll need to attend at least half of them.

  • How can I give?

Click the white "Donate" button at the top of the page, or click here! We also accept checks. Please send to PO Box 50094

    Bowling Green, KY 42102

If you're part of a business that would like to be a corporate sponsor for Relay Worship but want to meet with us first, we'd love to have lunch or coffee to discuss what that could look like! Just email us and we'll get back to you ASAP!

All Are welcome here

One of the things we hear most from those in our ministry is that people find community here. We don't expect people to give up the uniqueness of God's design of their souls in order to walk together toward Christlikeness. One of our core values is a prioritization of relating to others: loving people for who they are, not what we can get out of them. We delight in the diversity of God's Kingdom with young and old, a palette of skin colors, and tremendous variety in socio-economic perspectives. Keep your individuality and walk together with us. Become part of the Relay Worship Community!

Growing together

Grace Brings us together

There's a line in a modern worship song from We the Kingdom that says, "I don't wanna abuse Your grace... It's the only thing that really makes me wanna change." At Relay Worship we want to do the work - inwardly and outwardly - that brings God's kingdom from heaven to earth. We do that by giving God our best today and helping others do better tomorrow. The motivation is always grace, not fear or guilt. If you want to know more about how to be part of the Relay Community, just click below.
